05: How To Travel!

Travel on Pokesaga is incredibly simple, allowing you to travel from place to place and region to region as hassle free as possible. Every trainer starts with a bicycle in their inventory. This bicycle allows you to travel to any location inside the region you're currently in instantly without the need to roleplay actually travelling between point A and point B. Travelling from region to region however is not so simple. There are two main ways: Flight and Rail. Flight can be performed by anyone who has a pokemon that knows Fly, while Rail can be used by anyone but has a word count requirement.

To fly from region to region, all you have to do is finish your active threads in your current region. You can then start a new thread in another region without having to specify any details of your travel or having to RP it out in any form. Beyond having no active threads up in a region outside the one you're currently in, all you have to do is update your location to reflect your current region. To do this, click the Profile button beneath the Pokemon Saga banner. On that page is a section called "Personalized profile" under which is a Location field. Simply update that to reflect your current region.

Travel via Rail is slightly more complicated. Each district has a town which a rail system:

Kanto: Saffron City
Johto: Goldenrod City
Hoenn: Mauville City
Sinnoh: Veilstone City
Unova: Castelia City
Kalos: Lumiose City

Choose the region you want to travel to, and in their city mentioned above make a topic. Give it the tag [Travel] and post at least 150 words about your journey between your current region and the region you're travelling to via rail. Like with flight your threads in your previous region must all be closed before travelling to a new Region, and the location section of your profile must be updated to reflect your new location. If you fail to travel properly using rail and are unable to use flight, you will be given an official warning and you will have Pokedollars deducted from your account.
