General Appearance: Red is a stocky, well built adult, with a toned, well defined muscle structure. His neck length scruffy black hair has several bangs that hang down, often obscuring his genetically red eyes. The rest of his torrent of unkempt hair is often hidden under a red baseball cap with white trimming. He can always be found wearing a thick red Jacket over a black undershirt with dark blue jeans. He also wears fingerless black gloves with white trimming. He carries five of his six pokeballs on his belt, with three on the left side of the buckle and two on the right side. He carries his sixth pokeball, a black ball with weird runes carved into it on a pendant necklace. This Pokeball houses his Mewtwo. He wears jet black, steel toed combat boots, as he is often walking or hiking through dangerous terrain.

III. Background Information

Personality:
Silent
The most noteworthy trait of Red's personality is that he suffers from Selective Mutism. He can only speak to his pokemon and the few people he has known since childhood. If anyone that doesn't meet these conditions is within earshot, he cannot speak, producing simply silent groans when he tries to. Because of this, he has taught all of his pokemon to take orders based off a series of cues that are incomprehensible to most that hear them, namely a series of clicks he releases by bouncing his tongue off the roof of his mouth.

Cold but Compassionate
Mainly due to his mutism, but also partially due to how he holds himself, Red holds himself with an air of being uncaring about those around him. His lack of communication prevented him from interacting with most, giving people the impression that he is an uncaring individual. He is actually incredibly compassionate however, and has gone out of his way to stop organizations that are cruel to pokemon, including single handedly destroying Team Rocket after years of encountering their agents and thwarting their efforts.

Humble
Although Red is the first individual to beat every Pokemon League, and one of only three to ever accomplish this feat, he is incredibly humble. Even out of the people that he can speak to, or those he has communicated with using Mewtwo's telepathic assistance, only a couple of people know his identity as the world's fist grandmaster pokemon trainer.

History: Red set out from Pallet Town with two of his childhood friends; Blue and Green. While Blue and Green got their pokemon from Professor Oak, Red had his Poliwag, who he had had since he was a child. While all three hit the road at the same time, Red quickly turned back, having forgotten his trademark baseball cap, leaving it at Professor Oaks. Having entered Professor Oak's house unannounced to recover his baseball cap, the professor was startled by his presence and began to accuse him of theft. Although  he could speak to Oak, the stress caused his Mutism to kick in and he was unable to explain himself. Backing up in fear as the professor yelled at him, Red knocked into a stand full of pokeballs. The balls fell out of the stand, releasing Hundreds of pokemon from their balls, most of which left the property in a rush. They returned the few that remained to their pokeballs, while Red took the rest and ran off to return them to their balls before they were lost forever. It took him several days, but finally Red had captured all but one; a Bulbasaur that he found hiding in Viridian City Gym. Capturing it, Professor Oak gave it to him as thanks for saving him from what could have been a career ending disaster.

Setting off with his Bulbasaur and Poliwag, Red made his way around the eight Kanto gyms, encountering Blue and green countless times along the way. Although he was often tied with Blue, green would outright beat him on all of their battles, a fact that enraged Red. By the time Red had beaten the eighth gym, Green had already beaten the Kanto Pokemon League and become the League Champion. He was about to travel to the Indigo Plateau and challenge the pokemon league when he received a weird invite to New Island.

Seven trainers including Red arrived at New Castle, where they were greeted by Mewtwo himself. He wielded three mighty cloned pokemon he created, splicing in his own genetics to ensure they survived the cloning process. These pokemon were CharizardTwo, BlastoiseTwo and VenusaurTwo, created in memory of this tank bred siblings that had perished. He housed these pokemon in Pokeballs he developed personally, that were able to capture pokemon already imprinted on a pokeball, and even capture other pokeballs, allowing him to steal pokemon from trainers. Mewtwo captured all the pokemon of the trainers, who were helpless against his powerful abilities and his advanced technology. He then began to clone all the pokemon he captured, creating a clone army bred from the strongest pokemon he could gather. Mewtwo then began to use the original pokemon he stole from the trainers to kill their masters. Although he had captured them, many of the pokemon refused to obey, forcing him to psychically dominate them to force them to kill their masters. Finally, only one trainer remained; Red. Mewtwo released Red's Poliwrath, ordering it to kill Red. Naturally, it refused, forcing Mewtwo to psychically dominate it. Poliwrath proved powerful, however, and put up a strong fight against Mewtwo. Although it wasn't able to ignore the orders, it's movements were strained and jerky, and it would periodically freeze in place for a few moments. Poliwrath began to attack Red, however, breaking his left arm and shattering several of his ribs. As it swung to deliver the finishing blow, however, A bubble enveloped Red, lifting him into the air. Red's bones began to reform, nad his bruises vanished. A small pink pokemon landed on top of the bubble with a smile, letting out a small cry of "Mew!"

Enraged, Mewtwo attacked Mew, and the two pokemon soon found they were tied in strength, with neither able to overpower the other. While they fought, Red broke into the laboratory and recovered every pokeball he could, shattering the unique Pokeballs Mewtwo had made to bind them. As the pokemon were all furious with Mewtwo over his crimes against them, they willingly followed Red, and soon the trainer had left the cloning facility with an army of Forty Three powerful and very angry pokemon at his back. Red and his army engaged Mewtwo, and together they overwhelmed him, until finally Mewtwo was so weak that Mew trapped him in a black sphere which suppressed all his Psychic powers, rendering him crippled. Mewtwo had strength left to do one thing: Read minds. Trapped there, he read the minds of every assembled pokemon, as well as the mind of Mew and Red. He saw their hearts, and realized the sins he had committed. To repent, Mewtwo swore his service to Red, returning his pokemon to him before allowing himself to be captured. Mewtwo's clones, along with the masterless Pokemon left with Mew, while Red and his new companion left New Island. In Mewtwo's last act of destruction, he sunk New Castle and New Island into the ocean, removing the last signs of his sins from the earth forever.

Armed with his New Legendary pokemon, Red turned to Kanto's mainland and challenged the Elite Four, he dominated the challenge, destroying all four masters without effort before finally reaching green. It was a hard fought battle, but after bringing Mewtwo onto the field, Red beat his rival at last, claiming the title of Kanto Pokemon League Master.

Red and his six official pokemon, Poliwrath, Venusaur, Aerodactyl, Snorlax, Nidoking and Mewtwo, met a seventh companion that travels with them to this day, although he was never captured. On the road from Kanto to Johto they stumbled across a severely injured underdeveloped Pikachu, which they nursed back to health. It's injuries were such that it will never be able to fight, and because of this Red has carried it around with him on his shoulder, as his uncaptured companion. After beating all eight gyms in Johto, the group challenged a new elite four, and this time, Blue was the Region champion. Again, with the assistance of Mewtwo, Red emerged victorious, becoming Pokemon Master of two Pokemon Leagues.

Red did the same with Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos, travelling to each district, destroying their gyms and finally beating their pokemon leagues, until finally he became the first pokemon master to defeat every pokemon league. In recognition, the pokemon leagues banded together, creating a unique badge for Red and Red alone: The Conquer's Badge, to be given to anyone strong enough to beat Master Red. Anyone lucky enough to earn the Conquer's Badge can challenge any district's Elite four.

Conquer's Badge:

Red was last sighted in the Johto Region, at the top of Mt. Silver. It is rumoured that he has built a small residence at the top of the mountain for some unknown reason, and as such people seeking to face the legendary master often travel there searching for him.
